Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to launch on Nov 10 for Xbox Series X, Series S, PS4, Stadia and PC

We finally have a launch date for Assassin's Creed Valhalla! Ubisoft announced today that the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is going to release on November 10 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store for Windows PCs, on UPLAY+ (Ubisoft’s subscription service), and on Stadia. 

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla joins Ubisoft's other title - Watch Dogs: Legion to become the first two titles from the game developers to be launched on the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S. These two games will also be released on PlayStation 5 as and when the console launches. 

However, Watch Dogs: Legion will release on October 29 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store for Windows PCs, on UPLAY+ and Stadia.

With the Xbox Series X  and the Series S, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is expected to take full advantage of the enhanced graphics, giving players the opportunity to experience the open world of Norway and England in detail. The Assassin's Creed franchise is known for letting players explore the history and architecture of the age a particular game is based in, like Assassin's Creed Origins was based in Egypt while Assassin's Creed Odyssey took players to ancient Greece and Assassin's Creed Unity gave you Paris during the French Revolution. 

The latest installment, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, is going to take players back in time for an alternative history of the Viking invasion of Britain. 

On Xbox Series X, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60 FPS in full 4K resolution.

On the other hand, Watch Dogs: Legion is expected to benefit from the Hardware Accelerated Raytracing of the new Xbox Series X and S and create a realistic new London for players from Piccadilly Circus and its giant digital screens to Camden High Street’s neon lights and holograms.

In addition, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion will both leverage the new consoles' power by offering higher resolution textures and improved shadow quality to players, along with clutter density on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Both games will be taking advantage of the Direct Storage, benefiting from faster loading times and a smoother experience.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion will also be using the Smart Delivery technology that will allow players to buy the game once and play it on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X and S with cross-save functionality between Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S so players can save their progress across consoles.
