BGMI Virus Infection mode disabled! Know what happened, when it will be back

The BGMI Virus Infection mode has been disabled! The popular gameplay mode that lets you slay and survive zombies with your squad mates has been taken down by the developer. The reason could be an issue with the game's experience although Krafton hasn't given out a specific reason yet. Krafton also says that this mode will be unavailable temporarily and no date of return has been funished yet.

“We have identified an issue when playing Virus Infection Mode, and will take down the mode temporarily at Dec 9, 14:50 PM. We will fix the problem as soon as possible, and inform you immediately when fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience,” says Krafton in a blogpost update. Fans of the Virus Infection mode should keep an eye out for updates from Krafton's social media channels.

BGMI Virus Infection mode not cured yet! 

The Virus Infection mode made a return from PUBG Mobile since the game's ban last year. It was launched with the Payload 2.0 update for BGMI. As part of the gameplay rules, there are three rounds where players need to eliminate zombie groups. If you are spawned as a zombie, you can hunt down remaining players and turn them into zombies to win the match.

If you spawn as a player, then your only hope is to stay safe and fight. Both players and zombies get boosters that enhance their abilities. The last ones surviving as crowned as the heroes.

While BGMI is looking after fixing its zombie mode, PUBG New State recently got a new patch that introduced several changes, bug fixes and improvements over the older version. Some new vehicles and weapons were added to the arsenal.

On the PC side of things, PUBG Battlegrounds has been announced to be a free to play title. The game will now available for free to all on Steam (PC), Xbox, PlayStation, and Stadia.
