GTA Trilogy first look trailer is OUT! And this is what’s new

The GTA Trilogy is supposed to be a walk down the nostalgia path for gamers who grew up in the early 21st century. The remastered versions of three classic Grand Theft Auto games promises the same hooking storylines with classic gameplay but updated graphics. Rockstar Games has now released a first look trailer for the GTA Trilogy and fans of the original titles might get teary eyed.

The trailer shows glimpses of Grand Theft Auto 3 The Definitive Edition, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City The Definitive Edition, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas The Definitive Edition, bathed in the updated graphics system. The protagonists from these older titles return with updated textures, improved lighting system, reflections and tweaked physics. The retro storylines and gameplay seems to be retained.

“Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, with high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail,’ says Rockstar Games on its website.

We see Tommy Vercetti from GTA VC, Claude from GTA 3, and CJ from GTA SA feature in the hsort video, going through their storylines that most games must have played a thousand times. Not only the gameplay graphics have improved, the cutscenes also seem to have got all love from the developers.

Basically, everything in these classic games will look all shiny, brighter, and sharper than before. Players on the Sony PS5 and Xbox Series X can play it them in 4K at 60 fps, while PC users can take advantage of NVIDIA’s DLSS system. Nintendo Switch users can use the gyroscope to controls aiming as well as use the touch screen to pan the camera.

GTA Trilogy The Definite Edition is releasing on PC, consoles and Nintendo Switch on November 11, replacing the older version of these titles on sale. Additionally, Android and iOS platforms will also get these games in early 2022, although we don’t know whether the gameplay quality will remain the same as the PC version.
