Riot Games had announced the launch of several titles of its popular League of Legends MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) several months ago and since then they have unveiled a whole bunch of them on the Play Store including Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra etc.
Now, Riot Games is working on a mobile version of its MOBA PC game for both Android and iOS platforms - the League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Riot Games announced on Twitter that it is going to release the Alpha stage program ahead of the worldwide launch of the mobile game, which is expected to happen later this year.
The initial alpha test program is going to start in the Philippines and Brazil in June for a limited number of users first. It will then be rolled out elsewhere for testing.
The developers also talked about a bug that was recently spotted on the Google Play Store. An error on the part of the developers accidentally changed the settings and allowed players to “take a beta test” that didn’t exist at all. Those who had taken a beta test before saw an install button that led to an error notification when clicked on.
If you are a League of Legends fan, you are most probably looking forward to the mobile version of the game. However, it’s important for you to know what the minimum requirements for your smartphone are, as far as specs are concerned, to be able to to play League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Riot Games has mentioned that you need at least 1.5GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (or above) and an Adreno 306 GPU for Android users. If you are an iOS user, you need to have an iPhone 6 at least or higher.
However, these are the bare minimum specs you need. For more advanced smartphones, Riot Games will probably up the graphics to give you a better experience, but even if you have a smartphone that’s not beefed-up, you will still be able to play. The devs have also said that in the next alpha version will require even higher specs.
