While the gamers are still waiting for ‘Halo Infinite’, this fresh, new set of reveals may keep them excited for a while. 343 Industries and Microsoft have shared a new batch of screenshots, showing Halo Infinite gameplay and giving us a sense of how the Xbox Series x and Xbox Series S titles’ visuals have evolved. As one can see from the screenshot, the Pacific Northwest inspired Halo environment is more grittier, realistic and next-gen.

As mentioned in the blog post, Infinite includes redesigned enemies like jackals and grunts to look similar to their initial versions, according to art lead Justin Dinges.

“We have specifically chosen to begin Chief’s journey in Halo Infinite within the Pacific Northwest forest biome on a new Halo ring, a deliberate ode to the past. Another good example is how we have taken the visual design of the Jackals and Grunts back closer to their appearance in Halo 3 and previous titles. We want players to feel a nostalgic familiarity with these designs, like meeting up with an old friend, as they experience all that Halo Infinite has to offer,” said Dinges.

All this comes in addition to some improvements in the environmental lighting system that can change the mood based on the time of the day.

Halo Infinite is set to arrive in fall this year. However it's still not clear how much improvement will Halo’s graphics witness by then. For now, by looking at the screenshots, it is for sure that both 343 Industries and Microsoft will surely bring better visual notes to the entire gameplay.
