Minecraft Live 2021: When is it and what do we know so far

Apple and Nintendo recently wrapped up their events for this year and before we head over to Google for its Pixel 6 series launch event on October 19, we have to make one small stop at Mojang Studio, which is hosting the Minecraft Live 2021 event on October 16. Conventionally, Mojang Studio’s Minecraft Live 2021 event used to be an offline event wherein streamers would come together under one roof to record live reactions as the company made its announcement. However, this year, Mojang Studio is hosting its Minecraft Live 2021 event online owing to the pandemic.

Ahead of the event, Mojang has announced the details of the event via its official social media handles. It has also shared details regarding to its upcoming Minecraft Live 2021 event on its live blog. For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the updates, the Minecraft Live 2021 event will be held at 12PM EDT or 9:30PM IST on October 16.

“Playing arcade games and talking to ourselves in dingy basements, it’s all work work work here at Mojang! We also put on a little live show once a year called #MinecraftLive – which is coming to you on Oct 16 at 12 PM EDT,” Mojang Studio wrote via its official Minecraft account on Twitter.

For those who are interested in watching the event live, Mojang Studio has said interested people will be able to attend the Minecraft Live 2021 event from the comfort of their homes via Minecraft’s website -- Minecraft.net/live -- or via the company’s official YouTube channel.

As far as the details are concerned, Mojang Studio via a video has already confirmed that the mob vote will take place during the event, wherein the players will be able to vote for their favorite mob over Twitter.

In addition to that, Mojang Studio has confirmed that Minecraft Live 2021 will feature "Quadramorphic Endervision" video and a new audio system called "PILLAGER RAID-EO SOUND." Mojang Studio hasn’t revealed the specific details pertaining to the event, so all we can do for now is wait for the event.
