Niantic last month announced the annual Pokemon Go Fest will be held online-only this year. Tickets for the Pokemon Go fest are now live on the app, and more details of the event have been revealed.
Pokemon Go Fest will take place on July 25 and July 26. The Pokemon Go Fest 2020 ticket is priced at ₹1,199 and players can buy it from the Pokemon Go in-app shop. On the first day of the Pokemon Go Fest trainers will get access to a Special Research. There will be five themed habitats that rotate around fire, water, grass, battle and friendship. Each themed-habitat will feature one special Pokemon.
Trainers who have purchased tickets will get to work together in the Global Challenge Arena. Trainers will get to team up and compete in collaborative challenges every hour. On the first day, trainers will also be able to encounter over 75 species of Pokemon in the wild, in raids and after completing Special Research tasks as well.
The second day of Pokemon Go Fest 2020 has been kept a secret. Niantic isn’t revealing the details saying that they want the “experience to be a surprise”. But a second Special Research story for the second day is confirmed.
Niantic is trying to make the virtual experience as realistic as possible. It’s developing a Pokemon Go Fest microsite where trainers will get to check out favourite fan activities. It will also feature team lounges where players can relax and take a break from catching Pokemon. This microsite will also host giveaways and event updates from the Pokemon Go Fest 2020.
