PUBG Battlegrounds Free to Play rules revised: Know the new terms

Ever since the video game company PUBG Battlegrounds announced its F2P (free-to-play) version of PUBG will be launched on January 12, 2022, the users have been skyrocketing. As the gameplay method will be changed from P2P (Pay to play) to F2P, the developers have introduced a new set of rules and regulations (Terms of service) for the players in the F2P version. “Due to a change in the gameplay method (pay-to-play to free-to-play), the Company’s Terms and Service for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (STEAM, PS4, XBOX, STADIA) will be revised,” said the team.

Here are the revised terms of services of PUBG F2P BATTLEGROUNDS

1. The company may upgrade, change (including without limitation, from paid-to-play model (“P2P”) to free-to-play model (“F2P”)), or terminate the Game or Game Software or may discontinue offering either or both without giving prior notice to players.

Though the game will become F2P, users will have access to the Game for free but they would need to use G-Coins to purchase and use paid content within the Game.

All these terms of service will come into effect from January 12, 2022. As of now, the company has the right to upgrade, change, or terminate the Game or Game Software or discontinue the offer without prior notice.

In the F2P method, the gamers will still have to pay for some locked in-game elements. Users can avail these items by paying a one-time $12.99 fee for an "account upgrade."

Users who have already paid for the game will get access to PUBG Special Commemorative Pack, that includes Battlegrounds Plus as well as additional in-game items.

The gaming company has been keen on enhancing the users' experience of playing online video games. They have introduced anti-cheat system ZAKYNTHOS, to deal with the use of cheat software in PUBG BATTLEGROUNDS. This system is equipped with specific features like automated machine learning-based analysis of cheat software, 24-hour monitoring of ranked matches, implementation or kernel drivers and many more. As per the data shared by them, their anti-cheat system Zakynthos has reduced nearly 28% of the use of cheat software as compared to last year.
