PUBG: New State pre-registration in India begin on Android, iOS apps

PUBG: New State pre-registration in India: Game-maker Krafton launched the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) in India online game earlier this on the Google Play Store and then on the Apple App Store recently. This action came after the Indian government banned PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile in India last year along with some 200 other China-linked apps saying they may pose a threat to the safety and security of the country. Now, almost a year later, Krafton has announced that pre-registration to a new gaming title of PUBG STUDIOS has gone live in India.

The South Korean gaming company today announced that PUBG: New State pre-registration has gone live in India on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Krafton said that its upcoming game, PUBG: New State has been developed by its PUBG STUDIOS, which also developed other popular games in the battle royale genre including PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. The company also said that PUBG: New State will launch as a free-to-play experience on Android and iOS in 2021.

While nothing much is known about the upcoming PUBG: New State game yet, Krafton has shared that it will recreate the original PUBG: BATTLEGROUND experience, making it the most realistic battle royale game on mobile.

It is worth noting that PUBG: New State has already garnered over 32 million pre-registrations on Android and iOS globally excluding China, India, and Vietnam. Krafton has said that while India was initially not included in the pre-registration list of countries, Indian fans expressed great excitement about the game’s launch and commented positively on the posts on PUBG: New State’s various social media channels.

“Knowing that PUBG IP from Krafton is enjoying countrywide popularity in India and our Indian fans have high interest in the launch of PUBG: New State in India, we at PUBG STUDIOS are doing our best to offer a battle royale experience only we can deliver based on the stable service for our Indian fans," PUBG: New State Executive Producer Minkyu Park said while opening the PUBG: New State pre-registration in India.

Interestingly, the news comes shortly after the company announced that it will stop allowing users to transfer their data from PUBG Mobile Nordic Map: Livik to Battlegrounds Mobile India if they use the Facebook login method. Krafton has said that BGMI users will have nearly a month to transfer their data from PUBG Mobile by logging in with their Facebook account after which it will be shut down. This change will come into effect on September 28.
