PUBG New State uses Google account login, is a 1.4GB download on Android

PUBG New State is here and is now available for download. The game has gone live on Google Play and as promised, is completely free to download and play. On most of our Android devices at hand, Google Play shows PUBG New State as a 1.4GB download. The game also downloads extra files worth 250MB in average after installing. 

One of the biggest changes noticeable right from the get-go is the presence of a Google-based login and save game option. So far, Krafton’s other battle royale titles have relied mostly on Facebook login as the only third-party option for online backups of gameplay and authentication. With PUBG New State, players are now given the option to login via their Google account.

PUBG New State is now out on Android

PUBG New State had kept up its pre-orders since the last few months now and those who had done that are in for a treat. Upon login, PUBG New State is giving away the promised rewards for pre-booking players. Hence, you get some of the in-game currency and a special vehicle.

At launch, PUBG New State only brings the battle royale modes of gameplay with itself. The Troi map is available by default but you get three additional maps to download and play. These include the trusty old Erangel as well as Station and one more. The graphics look better right out of the box.

Note that most players are facing a “unable to connect to the server” issue ever since its availability since the early hours. Krafton is yet to comment on the issue. 

Also note that despite PUBG New State being the newer title, Krafton will continue to service and release updates for BGMI in India. Battlegrounds Mobile India will keep all of its content and player progress intact. In fact, there are rumours of a BGMI Lite in the world of gaming but so far, we haven’t seen anything on that front.
