‘Ever Given’ Suez canal ship is in Microsoft's Flight Simulator game along with pilot's commentary

If you have been following the global news off lately, or even the meme circle, you must have seen the cargo ship that is currently stuck in Suez Canal, giving hundreds of other cargo ships (and countries) a difficult time. While the work is being done to make it refloat, someone has put it to the rather realistic-looking Microsoft Flight Simulator game to make it, well, more realistic.

This was confirmed by Mat Veloso, Technical Advisor to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella as he re-shared a TikTok video of the stuck ship as seen through the pilot's cabin. As seen, the shot seems natural like the rest of the scenery. What’s interesting here is the pilot’s commentary. “If you look on your left, we will see the Suez canal. This is where most of our world trade and cargo ships come through. (...) Oh geez. It appears they have a big problem," the pilot says.”

It is worth adding that the ‘Ever Given’ cargo ship is not visible in the standard version of the game. The ship that has been stuck in the Suez Canal since the last 5 days, was included in the game via an add-on.

Recently, Flight Simulator added CRJ 550/700 Bombardier Jet which it says is the one of the most difficult jets to handle. Developer Aerosoft’s CRJ 550/700 package includes both aircraft models along with nine liveries and detailed cockpit environment.
