Sony’s much-awaited PlayStation 5 will finally be available for pre-orders in India today. Sony’s latest gaming console is scheduled to launch in India on February 2. Starting today, it can be pre-ordered from various online and offline stores.
Pre-orders for the PS5 are set to go live later today at 12 pm. It can be pre-ordered from Amazon India, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Games The Shop, Shop at Sony Center, Vijay Sales and other authorised retailers. Sony has been dealing with limited stock for the PS5 in several markets so if you want your hands on the PS5 it’s best to pre-order it as soon as possible.
The PlayStation 5 is priced at ₹49,990 for the standard edition. The digital edition of the PS5 costs ₹39,990 but according to an IGN report, it will not be available during launch. The report added that the Dual Sense charging station, HD camera and Pulse 3D Wireless headset will not go on sale either at launch. The other accessories including the DualSense Wireless Controller and the media remote would be available to pre-order. The DualSense Wireless Controller is priced at ₹5,990, and the media remote is priced at ₹2,590.
Sony launched the PS5 back in November with the console going on sale soon after in most markets. There has been a considerable delay in the India PS5 launch with Sony even pulling down the release dates shortly after making them live on their official website. There was drama too, with the PS5 trademark reportedly filed by a Delhi resident which might have been the reason behind the delay.
With the launch finally happening, and the pre-orders going live today, it’s interesting to see what the PS5 stock situation is in India.
