Squid Game: Red Light, Green Light mode comes to Free Fire, check how to play

Garena Free Fire, a popular battle royale game for smartphones, has introduced a new game mode created in collaboration with the popular Netflix show Squid Game. The new game mode is called Red Light, Green Light and is based on the hit online series on Netflix. The game mode is available for Android users and is expected to arrive on iOS devices today. This is not the first collaboration done so far – Free Fire recently collaborated with its first major movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage to offer special in-game content, which gamers can avail of till October 24.

Details of Squid Game: Red Light, Green Light mode on Free Fire

Free Fire is a popular action/survival game that involves 50 players landing on a deserted island where they must scavenge for weapons and items in order to survive and remain the last player alive in the game. The new game mode includes the same number of users who will all be wearing the same colour outfits and must survive in order to win the round. However, surviving is easier said than done, as players who try the game mode will discover.

For those who have not watched the show yet, the new Free Fire Red Light, Green Light mode includes a massive creepy doll that plays a tune and turns around every few seconds. If a player is caught moving, they are instantly eliminated from the round with a bolt of lightning. Unlike other game modes where a misstep can cause you to lose some health, every step is critical while playing Red Light, Green Light mode on Free Fire. The winner is the first player who crosses the finish line without being caught by the doll.

How to play Squid Game: Red Light, Green Light mode on Free Fire

Step 1) Download the latest version of Garena Free Fire from the Play Store, or update your existing version of the app from the Play Store.

Step 2) Go to your app drawer or home screen and open Garena Free Fire.

Step 3) Look for the game modes menu, it should be accessible by tapping the Battle Royale or Modes menu.

Step 4) Check the list of game modes for Red Light, Green Light mode and click on Start to begin the game.
