Windfall for gamers! On Epic Games Store, Control is free for a week now

In what will bring great joy to many in the gaming community Epic Games has offered Remedy’s supernatural thriller, Control, for free on its games store. Interested players can head over to Epic Games Store to claim the game for free up to 11 AM ET or 8:30 PM IST on June 17.

The Epic offer is a part of Epic Games’ Mega Sale 2021, wherein the company is offering up to 75% off on the purchase of select games along with special coupons. The sale will end on June 17.

For those who are new, Control is a supernatural thriller featuring Jesse Faden as the protagonist. The story of the game revolves around her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director. While playing the game as Jesse Faden, you can explore the shape-shifting Oldest House, which is also the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control. Through the game, you will also discover telekinetic abilities that will help in your battle against enemies known as the Hiss.

This is not the first time that Control is available to play for free. It was available to play for free to the Sony PlayStation Plus members earlier this year. At the moment, it is available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no additional cost.

It is worth noting that Control is not the only game that is available for free at the Epic Games Store during its ongoing Mega Sale 2021. The company is also offering Genshin Impact for free until 8:30 PM IST on June 17. Additionally, Overcooked! 2 and ‘Hell is other demons’ will also be available for free during Epic Games Store’s Mega Sale 2021. But these games are listed as coming soon on Epic Games’ gaming store.

Apart from this, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available with a discount of 25%, Kingdom Hearts 3 is available at a discount of 33%, Hitman 3 at a discount of 35% and World War Z is available at a discount of 66% during the gaming sale. The company is also offering the first three months of Nitro Discord for free to first-time Discord users.
