According to a report by comicbook.com, Microsoft is coming up with a new update for the controller with "fixes and updates that deliver performance improvements." In addition to performance improvements, the company has also given the Xbox Series X|S controller a new handy feature. Giving more insights on the same, the report said that Xbox players can now remap the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S controller share button and assign a wide range of custom actions to it.
Players can now also remap the purpose of the button to mute their TV, open friends' list, and do many other things. Are you aware of the share button? If not then you can know that the share button can let you take a screenshot by tapping it and if you hold the button down then you can record. Not every time you want to take a screenshot or record, therefore this function may sometimes feel unuseful to lots of players and hence the feature of being able to remap this button can bring some benefit.
With the update to remap the button along with the performance improvements, can be seen as a major development for the gain for everyone using the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S controller. As per the report, the update also upgrades the Quick Resume function and provides a new audio setup.
