Amazon launches Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Dot with Clock in India: Check out price, specs here

Amazon today hosted its annual Amazon 2020 Event. At the event that was held virtually this year owing to the pandemic, Amazon introduced its new lineup of Echo smart speakers which includes Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Dot with Clock, Echo Dot Kids Edition and Echo Show 10. Amazon is launching three of these new Echo smart speakers in India.

The Amazon Echo smart speaker costs ₹9,999 and it will be available for purchase later this year in Black, White and Blue colour variants. The Amazon Echo Dot with Clock costs ₹5,499 and it will be available in White and Blue colour variants later this year. The Echo Dot smart speaker costs ₹4,499 and it is available for pre-orders in Black, White and Blue colour variants.

As far as the features are concerned, the next-generation Echo comes with a new spherical design with fabric finish. It comes with a bright LED light ring at the base of the sphere that reflects off of surfaces for added visibility. It has a 3.0-inch woofer, dual-firing tweeters, and Dolby processing that delivers stereo sound with clear highs, dynamic-mids, and deep bass.

Amazon says that like the Echo Studio that was launched last year, the new Echo automatically senses the acoustics of your space and fine-tunes audio playback. The new Echo smart speaker comes with a built-in Zigbee smart home hub and supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

As far as the Echo Dot and Echo Dot for Clock are concerned, these smart speakers also come with the same spherical design and fabric finish as the next-generation Echo smart speaker. They pack in a 1.6-inch front-firing speaker, which the company says is capable of producing crisp vocals and balanced bass for full sound.

The new Echo Dot with clock comes with the same enhancements as the new Echo Dot, plus a simple LED display so users can glance at the time, outdoor temperature, timers, and alarms. “And now, the tap-to-snooze feature that customers love on Echo Dot with Clock will also be available on Echo Dot and Echo,” Amazon explained in a press release.
