Amazon’s Echo Show 10 and Echo Show 5 launched in India: Specs, prices

Amazon has launched the Amazon Echo Show 10 and the Echo Show 5 in India. The Echo Show 10, as the company calls it, is Amazon’s most advanced Echo that comes with a 10.1-inch HD display, a 13MP front-facing camera, and intelligent motion that moves the display to face you as you interact with Alexa. On the other hand, the Amazon Echo Show 5 is an upgraded version of the Amazon Echo Show and comes with the same compact 5.5-inch display we’ve seen on the predecessors. There is also an HD camera on the Amazon Echo Show 5 for better video calling and home monitoring and it is going to be available in three colours - black, white and blue.

Amazon Echo Show 10 specs

The new Amazon Echo Show 10 comes with a big 10.1-inch adaptive HD display with intelligent motion that makes the screen stay in view as you interact with Alexa. The screen moves along with you to make sure it is facing you. And the display of the Amazon Echo Show 10 is not the only thing that moves. The dual, front-firing tweeters and woofer also move along with the display to provide directional sound that can automatically adapt to your space.

The Amazon Echo Show 10 uses a fusion of audio-based localisation and computer vision to power the intelligent motion feature on the screen. You can also turn this feature off from the settings or simply ask Alexa to “Turn off motion”.

The Amazon Echo Show 10 uses computer vision algorithms to help make your home smarter and more secure. For security, you can securely access a live feed from the Echo Show 10 through the Alexa app on your smartphone, or another Echo Show device that has the ability to remotely pan the display and camera to see the entire room.

On the smart home front, you can set up and control Wi-Fi connected smart home appliances such as lights, plugs, AC, fans, TVs, geyser and more that work with Alexa. Echo Show 10 also has an inbuilt smart home hub that supports Zigbee smart home devices.

The Amazon Echo Show 10 screen comes with advanced customisation options so you can pick and choose what you want to see at a glance. You can also turn the screen into a digital photo frame that uses adaptive light to make your pictures stand out.

Amazon Echo Show 5 specs

The Amazon Echo Show 5 comes with essentially the same specs as its predecessor, the only upgrade is the addition of a new HD camera with double pixels that make those video calls much better. It is not available in a new blue colour.

The Amazon Echo Show 10 is priced at ₹24,999 and is available in a single black colour option. The Amazon Echo Show 5 is priced at ₹8,999 but it is going to be available at a discounted price of ₹6,999. The Amazon Echo Show 5 is available in three colours - white, black, and blue.
