Fujifilm launches Instax Mini Link in India

Fujifilm on Monday launched the Instax Mini Link in India. The company’s pocket-sized photo printer prints credit card sized photos from your phone’s camera or photo library. It costs ₹9,999 and it will be available on Amazon and Flipkart and leading offline retails stores in Ash White, Dusky Pink and Dark Denim colour variants starting next week.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link connects with your smartphone over a Bluetooth connection via a dedicated app, which not only enables users to choose the best image from their smartphones but also present them in a trendy way on a credit-card sized Instax Mini film. The printer supports continuous printing and is capable of printing about 100 pictures per charge.

Additionally, the printer’s main unit can also be used to remotely control the camera operation when taking pictures from the printer's dedicated app. Users can zoom in by facing down the side of the power button at the center, zoom up by facing up, and release the shutter by pressing the power button. Users can also print multiple copies of a picture by holding the Link with the printout end pointing down and press the button at the center.

As far as the app is concerned, it comes with several features that enables users to print the best shot using the mini-printer. For starters it comes with a feature that enables users to transfer pictures from their smartphones to the printer. There is a Video Print feature that enables users to print the best frame from the video. The Match Test compatibility testing function examines your compatibility and shows it in percentage. Fujifilm says that the app has the “Quick diagnosis” mode to check compatibility of people shown in a randomly-selected picture, and the “Precision diagnosis ” mode that involves answering some questions in addition to shooting a photo of two people for whom compatibility is to be checked, in order to obtain a result of greater accuracy. In addition to this, the app has a Party Print function that creates a single picture with photos sent from multiple people.

Apart from the app, Instax Mini Link comes with a Mini-format film called Mermaid Tail that produces colorful designs with a glossy frame. Each pack packs a total of 10 films.
