Mi Smart Living 2021: Xiaomi launches Automatic Soap Dispenser, Smart LED Bulb in India

Xiaomi on Tuesday hosted the third iteration of its Smart Living event in India. At the event called the Mi Smart Living 2021, the company launched a host of Internet of Things (IoT) devices including the Mi Watch Revolve and the Mi Smart Speaker. The company also launched the Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser and the Smart LED Bulb at the event.

Let’s talk about the Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser first. It is an automatic soap dispenser that has infrared sensors to detect if there is a hand near its nozzle. When it detects the presence of a hand, it dispenses out foam in 0.25 seconds. Xiaomi says that it is one of the fastest soap dispensers in the market right now.

It comes with a micro-motor that turns the soap into foam and then dispenses it in a contactless manner without making any noise. It is particularly ideal to be used at a time when social distancing and frequent hand washing has become a norm. The Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser costs ₹999 and it will be available on Mi.com and Mi Homes starting 12PM on October 15 in theWhite colour variant.

Coming to the Smart LED Bulb, it emits 810 lumens of cool white light and consumes just 7.5W of energy. It comes with an adjustable brightness feature that enables users to adjust the brightness of this smart light as per their requirements. It has a life of 15,00 hours, which means it will last for about seven years if used for approximately six hours a day.

What’s interesting about this smart bulb is that it is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This means that no matter which smart speaker you have at home, it will work with it perfectly. The Mi Smart Bulb costs ₹499 and it is available for purchase on Mi.com and Mi Homes.
