After Nora Fatehi, now Tamil actress Gayathrie gets HACKED on Instagram

A few weeks back, actor-dancer Nora Fatehi’s Instagram account got hacked and not just her, but Nazriya Nazim, Amritha Aiyer and Pooja Hegde are some other actresses who have also reported hacked Instagram accounts in the past. And now, Tamil actress Gayathrie joins this list. She recently announced that her Instagram account got hacked and she is working to recover it. Gayathrie Shankar is a well-known Tamil actress who came into the limelight for her stellar performance in the light-hearted comedy 'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom'.

Actor Gayathrie took to Twitter to share about her social media, which reads, "My Instagram has been hacked! Working on recovering it! Please ignore any messages you receive from my account!" Premgi Amaren, the Indian Playback Singer responded to Gayathrie's tweet, claiming that he had received a message from her account as well. Though, later she got access to her Instagram account back. What to do if your Instagram account has been hacked

If you think that your account has been hacked or taken over, there are various steps you can do to secure it. First, see if you received an email from security@mail.instagram.com informing you that your email address had been changed. This way, you may undo the change by selecting Undo this change in the message. If some other information, such as your password was also changed and you are unable to change your email address, then you need to request a login link or security code from Instagram.

Note that Instagram needs to know that you own your account, for that you can request a login link to your email address or registered phone number with your account. Here’s how to request a login link:

• Go to the login screen, and tap ‘Get help logging in’ on an Android or ‘Forgotten password?’ option on an iPhone.
• Then enter your username, email address or phone number associated with your Instagram account, and then tap Next.
• After that, select either your email address or phone number, then tap Send login link.
• You will receive the login link. Click on it and then follow the on-screen instructions.
