Airtel Black plans launched in India; What it is and how you benefit from it

Bharti Airtel today launched a new all-in-one solution for its subscribers in India. Dubbed as “Airtel Black” plans, the newly launched solution combines all of Airtel’s services - Fiber, DTH and Mobile - in a single service, simplifying users’ overall experience.

What customer will get in Airtel Black plan

With Airtel Black, Airtel subscribers can bundle two or more of the company’s services into a single plan for which they will receive one single bill, one customer care number with a dedicated team of relationship managers with priority resolution of issues. Airtel says that apart from simplifying the overall experience, Airtel Black also offers zero-switching and installation costs and free service visits for life. Additionally, on subscribing to Airtel Black, subscribers will get Airtel Xstream Box at no additional cost.

Airtel also said that customers will get 30 days free on the new service that they have added in order to upgrade to this plan. For understanding, if an Airtel subscriber was earlier using a postpaid number and now they decide to add a DTH plan to the bundle, they will get 30 days of DTH service for free.

Airtel Black plans

As far as the plans are concerned, Airtel subscribers can customise plans as per their requirements. They can pick from Fiber plans starting at ₹499 that offers speeds of up to 1GBps, unlimited data and a landline connection, DTH plans starting at ₹153 that offers a flat one-time discount of ₹465 on DTH recharge, and a postpaid connection starting at ₹499 that offers up to 210GB of data with rollover facility and unlimited local and STD calls.

Alternatively, users can choose one of the following custom plans:

Airtel Black ₹998 Plan: This is a DTH+Mobile plan and it offers two mobile connections and a DTH connection.

Airtel Black ₹1,349 Plan: This is also a DTH+Mobile plan and it offers three mobile connections and a DTH connection.

Airtel Black ₹1,598 Plan: This is a Fiber+Mobile plan and it offers two mobile connections and one Fiber connection.

Airtel Black ₹2,099 Plan: This is an all-in-one plan and it offers three mobile connections, one DTH connection and a Fiber connection.

Airtel Black plans availability

Airtel Black is available in India starting today. Airtel customers can access it via a newly added ‘Black’ section in the Airtel Thanks app. Airtel told HT Tech that it will launch a revamped version of its Airtel Thanks App with dedicated space for Airtel Black soon.

How to get Airtel Black

Airtel says that subscribers will have to either pick from one of its existing plans or customise a plan to meet their requirements by tapping on the Join Now button in the Airtel Black section in the Airtel Thanks app.

Alternatively, they can visit their nearest Airtel Store or give a missed call on 8826655555 following which an Airtel executive will get in touch with the users to help them upgrade to Airtel Black.

Airtel also said that its One Airtel customers will automatically be migrated to Airtel Black. However, they will have to select a plan as per their requirements.
