Amazon Prime member? Your delivery schedule has been changed; here is what will make your day

Amazon is one of the most popular e-retail platforms in India and the company gives primacy to its Amazon Prime members in many ways. In fact, they get the best offers and most benefits - at a cost, of course. Amazon Prime membership also provides access to the e-retailer’s speedy delivery service, Prime Video, Prime Music and its vast collection of e-books. Today, Amazon Prime members get yet another amazing offer.

Amazon India today announced a service called Amazon Day for members. This service gives Amazon Prime Prime members the option of choosing a weekly delivery day for the items they purchase throughout the week. Amazon says that its Amazon Day service also makes it easier to get purchases grouped and delivered together resulting in fewer trips to the customer location.

“The delivery option is one among Amazon’s many sustainability initiatives to help achieve Shipment Zero, the company’s global vision to make all Amazon shipments net-zero carbon, with 50% of all shipments net-zero by 2030,” Amazon wrote in a blog post.

Amazon Day will be available as a delivery option to Prime members at the time of checkout. Prime users can select the day that works best for them. According to the details available on Amazon India’s website, Prime members can select up to two preferred days of the week for receiving items. Amazon India also said that Prime members can also change their Amazon Day, or their preferred delivery day, anytime to another day.

It is worth noting that this service is available for free for all Amazon Prime members. Amazon users who haven’t subscribed to Prime membership will first have to subscribe to the membership to be able to use this service. Amazon Prime membership costs ₹999 per year or ₹129 per month, which totals to ₹1,548 annual.
