Amazon Prime membership price hike coming, 1 day left to avail ₹999 plan

Amazon Prime membership price is all set to be hiked from December 14. This will end its ₹999 yearly membership plan by tomorrow, that is on December 13. From now on the price of the Amazon Prime will be hiked by 50 percent in India. The Amazon Prime membership includes the special benefits such as Prime Video, Prime Music, one-day shopping delivery and more. Back in October, Amazon announced the increase in Prime Membership price during the Diwali season's 'Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale'. Though, at that time, it wasn't clear when the new price hike would come into effect. In November, the company announced the date and price hike.

Amazon Prime Membership new prices

With effect from December 14, the subscription fees for the Amazon Prime will increase to 50 percent on all the plans. The yearly subscription would cost now ₹1499, which is right now ₹999. While its three-month (quarterly) plan is also available under the price hike which is priced at ₹459 increased from the current ₹329. The one-month plan of Amazon Prime subscription will cost ₹179 instead of ₹129.

The current Amazon members can continue to enjoy the benefits till the duration of their membership ends. The existing Amazon prime members do not need to pay any extra charges even after December 14 till their plan expires.

What will happen to members whose subscription will end after December 13?

As the company is offering a plan for the users to join or renew the Prime membership at the current price of ₹999, whose membership will end after December 13. How? You can lock the next subscription in the current price till the midnight of December 13 as part of this offer. "We recommend that you renew or buy Prime as soon as possible before the offer ends on 13-Dec-2021 11:59 PM," Amazon said.

Now, you must be thinking that you will be able to use the subscription for future renewables. Unfortunately, that’s not the case! Once the subscription for the one year will end, it will cost you the hiked price of the Prime Membership that is ₹1499. However, you can enjoy the subscription at ₹999 for one year.
