Amazon seller registration, account management services now available in Kannada

Amazon says the Kannada language support will benefit more than 35,000 existing sellers and several new sellers in Tier 1 and below markets.

Amazon launches seller registrations and account management services in Kannada (AP)

Amazon on Sunday announced the support for the Kannada language for sellers on its platform. The support includes the ability to register on the Amazon marketplace, managing orders, inventory management and accessing performance metrics, and more. Sellers can also access the language on the Amazon seller website as well as on the mobile app.

According to Amazon, the Kannada language support will benefit more than 35,000 existing sellers and several new sellers in Tier 1 and below markets such as Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Kalaburgi and Mysuru among many cities in Karnataka.

The company pointed out it has chosen commonly used terms over “perfectly translated words” to keep things simpler for sellers.

The support for the Kannada language comes after Amazon rolled out similar support for Hindi and Tamil, which saw over 50,000 new Amazon sellers sign up on the Amazon marketplace in a language of their convenience, the company added.

Sellers who want to change their preferred language can do so through the Seller website and mobile app. On the desktop, they can access the ‘language drop-down’ on every page at the top right corner. On the mobile app, sellers can change the language on the bottom left corner when registering and through the in-app settings.
