Apple iPhone makes you 76% more attractive on dating apps: Study

With lockdown taking place across the globe and people sitting at homes, connecting with each other, dating apps have seen an exponential growth as more people start swiping and searching for matches. But, as per a study carried out by CompareMyMobile, Apple iPhone users might be having a better chance at getting matches as compared to Android users.

“With more people to choose from and less to separate them, a study from the team at comparemymobile.com found that the difference between finding love and being left on the shelf could even come down to the phone you have, with young singletons caring more about your tech than your car,” stated the researchers.

The study analysed 50,000 ‘swipes and matches’ on popular dating apps. The website, during the test, had similar profiles in each case only with one exception - the brand of tech was showcased.

And as it turns out, those using iPhones got around 76% match success, which was the highest. In case you are using Apple Watch and AirPods, the match success rate reaches 61% and 41%. Samsung users also have some chance as it received a 19% success rate. However, there are some handset brands that didn’t make the cut and were in fact in negative numbers. Those using Google, Sony, Huawei and OnePlus have 10%, 14%, 23% and 30% less chances of getting a match. Blackberry users were at 74%.

The firm even mentioned the cities where tech has the most pulling power. Some of the top cities were New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Manchester.
