You may have to wait longer to attend in-person events as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to soar in India and elsewhere. For the past year, we have turned to digital platforms for communicating, collaborating, and learning. For events and conferences, there are plenty of digital platforms to host and participate in. Let’s take a look at some of them.
Airmeet
Airmeet is one of the popular virtual events platforms right now. Launched in 2019, the platform is suitable for different events such as workshops, town halls, meetups and expos. The platform allows the host to run multiple parallel sessions and add up to 10,000 participants in a virtual event. You can also use the platform to host live streams on YouTube and Facebook. Other features are virtual ballroom, table chat, and screen-sharing, among others.

Dreamcast
Just like the Airmeet, Dreamcast lets you host different kinds of virtual events such as meetings, conferences, exhibitions, expos, product launches, and demos. The platform has features such as one on one networking and group networking, live chat capabilities, and even business card exchanges. The platform also lets you run live polls, Q&A sessions, quizzes, and contests. There is a feature called AI matchmaking, which is said to “enable attendees with the same goals to have conversations with the potential match virtually via audio/video chats and calls in real-time.”

NextMeet
NextMeet allows users to host digital events. Unlike the above-mentioned apps, NextMeet uses 3D technology for re-creating an event. For instance, you can create a networking lounge, walkable art gallery, presentation screen in a conference hall, and even a digital help desk.
Bonus: VideoMeet
VideoMeet is a made in India video-conferencing platform. Similar to Zoom, the platform lets you host video conferences. Apart from webinars, the platform also allows users to share documents, screen-share, record meetings, live stream (via Facebook and YouTube) and set up waiting rooms.
