We are halfway through July, and this month has brought some big hits to various OTT platforms. Whether it was Kamal Haasan’s biggest financial success in Vikram or Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated periodic biographical movie Samrat Prithviraj. Alongside, we will also get to witness Kannada superstar Rakshit Shetty starrer 777 Charlie this month. And if these aren’t enough, Kannada-language movie Indira and Telugu anthology Modern Love Hyderabad also made their OTT debut. Vikram on Disney+ Hotstar

The first film of Kamal Haasan in more than 4 years has received a grand appreciation by fans in both India and overseas while in the theaters and now it is available to watch on the OTT platform. The movie revolves around a gang of masked murderers that have caused chaos and fear among people and a black ops team that has been tasked with tracking and eliminating them. The action thriller where Haasan has both acted and produced has a talented cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh, Shivani Narayan, Swathishta, Suriya, Gayathri and more.

Samrat Prithviraj on Amazon Prime Videos

After opening to mixed reactions, the historical action drama film has made its way to OTT within a month. The movie is based on the epic poem Prithviraj Raso and portrays the life, achievements and his battle against Muhammad Ghori. The movie stars Akshay Kumar as titular Prithviraj Chauhan alongside Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar who makes her Hindi movie debut. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar and others in supporting roles.

777 Charlie on Voot

The Kannada-language adventure comedy-drama features one of the biggest stars of Kannada movies in Rakshit Shetty. The film follows the journey and bonding between a lonely factory worker and a stray labrador dog, Charlie. Alongside Shetty, Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait, Bobby Simha and others play lead roles. The movie hits the OTT platform on July 29.

Indira on Voot

This Kannada-language thriller follows the story of a woman who loses her eyesight and memory after a suicide attempt. Kept under the care of a caretaker, she becomes alarmed when she notices a terrifying pattern around him. The movie features Anita Bhatt, Neetu Shetty, Chakravarthy, Rahman Hassan among others.

Modern Love Hyderabad on Amazon Prime

This Telugu-language anthology has six distinct love stories that all take place in Hyderabad and feature modern problems and their modern solutions. A spiritual successor of Modern Love Mumbai, it aims to showcase the complexities in relationships as a result of living in a big city. Komalee Prasad, Revathi, Nithya Menen, V.K. Naresh and others play the main roles.
