KGI's securities' Ming-Chi Kuo, known as the best Apple analyst on the planet, is at it again and this time he seems to have dug up more controversial news about the company's plans for iPhones.
Kuo's predictions, which claim that Apple is planning an entire makeover for its smartphones, were picked up by 9to5Mac. According to the report, Apple is expected to redesign the iphone with an all-glass enclosure instead of the ranges' famed aluminium chassis which will also be complemented by new cutting edge curved OLED display.
But if you are expecting these changes to come with the iPhone 7, then you are destined for disappointment as all these changes will come in 2017 and not 2016.

According to Kuo, Apple will finally abandon its 'tick/tock' external redesign / internal upgrade pattern for iPhone launches. Consequently the iPhone 7 will look largely like the iPhone 6 / iPhone 6S and it will be an 'iPhone 8' in 2017 where Apple will pull out all the stops.
Why? The most obvious reason is that it is the tenth anniversary of the iPhone and the company has enjoyed success with the glass design. It would also be ideal for wireless charging and boosting antenna reception.
