Fortnite 8.50 update brings Avengers: Endgame crossover: Here are top new features

A day before Avengers: Endgame release in India, Fortnite has announced a big crossover with the game. The latest update, version 8.50, brings Avengers-themed items, including all six infinity stones and Captain America's Shield and Iron Man's Repulsors.

Now available for download, Fortnite's version 8.50 allows you to create a team of super heroes to fight Thanos and his Chitauri who have invaded the Battle Royale Island, in search of the six Infinity Stones.

Thanos' team attacks the map with powerful weapons including laser rifle, grenades and jetpacks to conduct aerial attacks. The first Chitauri to grab an Infinity Stone becomes Thanos. As expected, Thanos is the most powerful villain ever to step foot in the map.

Your team will kick off the campaign with a treasure map that directs to an Avengers item. Across the map, such mythical Avengers items will be scattered. Keep an eye on these hidden chests. Your objective is to completely destroy Thanos and Chitauri. If the villains win, your team will not be able to respawn.

Apart from Avengers: Endgame crossover, the latest Fortnite version 8.50 update also brings bug fixes and improvements. For instance, Hold to Swap functionality is now easier to access. Players now get more credit for damaging a vehicle. The update also has fixed the bug that showed incorrect amount of Survival XP. Fortnite said it has gifted XP to affected players as compensation.
