Google has now overhauled the weather forecast feature in Google Now, offering new features along with a revamped interface. With the change, the app will display added information such as severe weather alerts, 10 day weather forecasts, hourly weather updates and more. The reworked weather cards also offers information specifically tailored to mobile viewing and animations depending upon the weather conditions.
In addition, users can also add locations of their favourite places by selecting 'Add'. Once you've added your preferred location it'll start appearing in the drop-down menu. The update also allows users to keep a track of air quality along with UV index.These new weather cards also support 'OK Google' voice commands allowing users to ask queries like "will it rain?" or "hows the air quality".
"An unexpected snow or rainstorm can put a bit of a damper on your day, so to help keep you dry and ready to take on any weather, we're introducing an upgraded weather experience on Android phones," said Google's Product Manager Lea Stolowicz in a blog post.
