This is PUBG Mobile's Indian alternative FAU-G: Here's what we know so far

The Indian government yesterday announced a ban on 118 Chinese apps, which also include the popular mobile title called PUBG Mobile. And today morning, it was removed from the Google and Apple App Stores, leaving several million users in India in the dark. But it looks like Indian companies are already at work in launching its alternative. And while many of them are out there already, the newest one to be announced it’s FAU-G. Yes, spelled as (Faw-ji), the new title has just been announced on social media but few details are yet to be revealed.

What we know so far is that this ‘proposed’ PUBG Mobile alternative FAU-G or ‘Fearless And United Guards’ have only been announced and may take some time to reach the app stores. The title is being developed by nCORE Games and is announced by Vishal Goindal, CEO of GOQii. He also sold his gaming business to Display for around $100million back in 2012.

FAU-G (Fauji), which in Indian language is called as a soldier, comes as a response to PM Narendra Modi’s ‘AtmaNirbhar’ idea. The tweet adds that 20% of net revenues earned through this game will be donated to ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ trust that is created by the Home Minister of India and will indeed be given to India’s ‘bravehearts’.

Meanwhile, if you have downloaded PUBG, it can still be played. The next possible step for this ban process to complete is for Internet Service Providers to block access to PUBG Mobile in India.
