IntrCity acquires GoldSeat, Pristyn Care raises $53 million, and more

MPL has acquired e-sports gaming platform GamingMonk as it aims to build a full suite of esports and broadcasting capabilities.

IntrCity on Tuesday announced it had acquired GoldSeat, a Delhi-based startup that offers the in-bus application and telematics platform. The company said the acquisition would help strengthen its mobility platform, which manages the IntrCity SmartBus fleet across 14 states in India. GoldSeat will also be integrated within IntrCity’s SmartBus fleet solutions.

According to IntrCity, GoldSeat will bring capabilities such as GPS based location monitoring & tracking, CCTV feed management, multi-network Wi-Fi, passenger information & announcement system. The company added that the integration would help enable upcoming capabilities around AI-based driver fatigue alert and integrating with OEMs for better service to operators.

“IoT is the key technology component for automation & comprehensive monitoring of service levels on SmartBus fleet, as the operations are remote, geographically spread & overnight. With a rapidly expanding fleet size, we needed a standardized IoT platform that can be quickly deployed on any bus, and which can talk seamlessly with our back-end intelligent platform. This technology helps us in achieving that objective,” Kapil Raizada, co-founder at IntrCity, said in a release.

Pristyn Care raises $53 million

Healthcare startup Pristyn Care on Tuesday said it had raised $53 million in a Series-D round of funding led by US investment fund Tiger Global Management. Post this funding, Pristyn Care’s valuation rose to $550 + million. According to the company, the valuation has risen more than double from the $250 million it had been valued at 6 months ago. In the latest funding round, Tiger Global is joined by Pristyn Care’s existing investors Sequoia Capital, Hummingbird Ventures and Epiq Capital.

Mobile Premier League acquires GamingMon

Mobile Premier League (MPL) has acquired New Delhi-based e-sports gaming firm GamingMonk.

GamingMonk, which has a registered user base of more than 1.3 million users, hosts Esports tournaments across multiple platforms including PC, Console and Mobile. MPL said that the platform will help serve as a launchpad for publishers and a community for gamers creating an integrated ecosystem across esports, live streaming, and content discovery. As part of the acquisition, MPL has absorbed the complete GamingMonk team.
