Jeff Bezos' prediction about Earth and humans will space you out

Imagine Earth being a natural resort that people from space will come to on visits! Seems strange, right? However, that's exactly what Amazon-founder Jeff Bezos has said. That line of thought has sprung from the fact that the Earth is being degraded by humanity through oversuse, and misuse, of resources. He has a message for humanity too: "This place is special, we can't ruin it." The billionaire, Amazon chief, Jeff Bezos is a self-funded space explorer and these comments were made by him at the annual Ignatius Forum in Washington, DC.

He said that experts want to ensure that millions of people who work in space or will work there, should also be born there, get jobs and call space as their first home. Bezos predicted once people start living in space, they will come to visit Earth the way they visit the Yellowstone National Park. People living in space will consider Earth as a natural resort that they can come visit on holidays. These colonies will be floating habitats in space that will have gravity and most other things present on Earth. Bezos believes that in the future, space colonies would even have their own rivers, forests, and wildlife.

"This Earth can support, let's say, 10 billion people to a certain degree. We'd have to work really hard to figure out how to do that without degrading the planet… The solar system can support a trillion people," Jeff Bezos said during the conference. Bezos claimed that the continuously growing population of the human race would make it difficult to expand the living zones on Earth.

Though, he seems positive about shifting the human race to space in the future, he did not clarify as to who will get selected to stay on Earth or go to space. Will selection be on the basis of survival of the fittest? Will it be the people with high IQ that will get to go? So far, this crucial aspect is not clear at all.

According to Bezos, the hard part is not the space trip, that part has been fixed in the 60s nor the reusability, the space shuttle type has done that. But the hardest part is operational reusability, which requires practice to get it right.

Additionally, he affirmed his privately funded aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services company Blue Origin would be named as 'Earth ambassadors' in the coming years.
