JioFiber Entertainment Bonanza Plan: On April 19, JioFiber announced the Entertainment Bonanza Plan through which it has started offering free subscription to up to 14 OTT platforms at an add-on fee starting at Rs. 100. The company is also doing away with its installation fees as well. Now users will get Gateway Router, Set Top Box and Installation worth almost ₹10,000 for free. But that’s not all. Users do not need to buy expensive plans for the OTT apps either. Jio Fiber lets them just pay a nominal add-on fee and access all the content they want including free Disney+ Hotstar. Launching the offer, Jio said in its press note, “Users will continue to access unlimited high-speed internet starting at ₹399/month. Additionally, by paying just ₹100 or 200 extra per month, they can now access contents of their choice through a collection of up to 14 OTT apps”. The 14 OTT apps included by JioFiber include Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Sonyliv, Voot, Sunnxt, Discovery+, Hoichoi, ALTBalaji, Eros Now, Lionsgate, ShemarooMe, Universal+, Voot Kids and JioCinema. The plans have been made available for all starting April 22.
As per the new pricing, the benefit is majorly for people who had the Rs. 399 or Rs. 699 plans as after Rs. 999, JioFiber offers free subscription to OTT platforms without any extra charge. But for those users, who do not want to spend Rs. 999 a month, Jio is offering them a chance to enjoy OTT content for a small add-on. On paying an additional Rs. 100, users will get the access to 6 OTT platforms that would include Universal+, ALTBalaji, Eros Now, Lionsgate Play, JioCinema and ShemarooMe. However, if you want access to Disney+ Hotstar, you just have to pay Rs. 200. For 200 bucks, you get access to all the 14 OTT platforms that Jio provides. So, now even if you have the Rs. 399 plan, you can get the full benefits of Entertainment Bonanza plans at Rs. 599. Check out the detailed plans below.
