JioSaavn gets new features and a facelift

JioSaavn on Monday announced a series of updates to its platform including its user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).

As a part of the changes, JioSaavn is getting a new homepage navigation that will give users easy access to Podcasts and JioTunes. In addition to that, the music streaming platform is also getting a new browse screen that will feature improved content channels and personalised playlists. Additionally, JioSaavn is getting smarter and faster recommendations along with smoother interactions and a cleaner UI.

Coming to the features, the music-streaming platform is getting a new Living Search feature with recommendations and Shorties, which essentially are 15-second long looping visuals that accompany select tracks. This new feature will have content from artists such as Eric Nam, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Alesso, Martin Garrix, Siddhu Moosewala, Bohemia, Zaeden, Armaan and Marshmello among others. Additionally, JioSaavn’s app and web-based platforms will get new artist profiles along with recent releases, featured playlists, and full discography of the artists.

While these updates have already been rolled out to JioSaavn’s app and web-based interface, there are a bunch of new features and updates that will be available on the platform in the coming weeks.

The company said that it will roll out a new smartphone player with videos, new UI, autoplay, and more soon. Additionally, JioSaavn will launch a new web and desktop based product that will be in sync with the company’s smartphone-based apps.

The list doesn’t end there. JioPhone’s homepage will be updated to bring faster access to the content from JioSaavn. The company is also planning to roll out an overhauled UI for the new Jio Set Top Box app and its Pro Wallet interface. Lastly, JioSaavn will also roll out a new podcasts homepage with podcast categories and exclusive content in the coming weeks.
