Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are expected to tie the knot over the next few days at a private event. While the celebrity duo have refrained from making their affair public, a new report suggests that an OTT platform has apparently the same hunger to watch their wedding ceremony as their fans and offered ₹100 crores to stream it globally.

The OTT platform, whose name is unknown, has reportedly offered the celebrity couple a mega sum of ₹100 crores. In return, the OTT platform wants to shoot the wedding ceremony and distribute it via its platforms. The report, which comes from Pinkvilla.com, suggests that couple have not accepted the offer yet and might not do it.

The report goes on to mention that both Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, who have done multiple films in India, want their fans to witness the event. However, they haven't settled for the offer yet. Both the Bollywood actors are yet to comment on this development.

“It’s a common trend in the west for celebrities to sell off their wedding footage and images to magazines and at times even channels, as there are a lot of fans who wish to witness all that happened in the life-changing event of their idol. The streaming giant is planning to bring in the same trend in India too and to kick off their wedding franchise, they have offered ₹100 crore to Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal,” said the source close to Pinkvilla.

It is said that the same OTT platform had a similar offer for documenting the wedding ceremony of popular Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who tied the knot a few years ago. 

With the growing popularity of OTT platforms as a major source of content consumption, this could be a new trend among platforms to offer as exclusive content. Such shows could attract huge revenue from die-hard fans of these celebrities
