Chipmaker MediaTek today added two new chips to its Dimensity system-on-chip portfolio. The company today announced the launch of the Dimensity 920 chipset and the Dimensity 810 5G chipsets. These SoCs are the latest additions to the company’s Dimensity 900 series chips and the Dimensity 800 series chips and they have been built using the advanced 6nm process. In addition to this, both these processors come with octa-core and they feature support for high refresh rate displays, and multi-camera setups. Additionally, both the Dimensity 920 SoC and the Dimensity 810 SoC offer support for 5G chipset.
MediaTek Dimensity 920 specs
MediaTek Dimensity 920 packs one set each of Arm Cortex-A78 and Arm Cortex-A55 CPU cores with the former clocked at 2.5GHz and the latter being clocked at 2.0GHz. This setup is coupled with theArm Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It features support for a display with a resolution of 2520x1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the storage front, it supports LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM as well as UFS 2.1 and UFS 3.1 storage. For connectivity, the Dimensity 920 SoC has Wi-Fi 6 support, 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, and NavIC among others. On the camera front, it features support for 108MP camera or 20MP + 20MP camera setup. For video encoding, it can encode in H.264, H.265/ HEVC.

MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G specs
MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G specs, on the other hand, includes one set each of Arm Cortex-A55 and Arm Cortex-A76 CPU cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz. It has eight cores that are coupled with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. On the storage front, it features support for LPDDR4x and storage is limited to UFS 2.2. On the connectivity front, it has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, NavIC, and GPS among others. On the display front, it features support for a display of up to 2,560x1,080 pixels resolution and refresh rates of up to 120Hz. On the camera front, it features support for a 64MP camera or a 16MP+16MP camera setup.
