New BSNL prepaid plan launched; Check out the ₹1,498 data pack offer

BSNL prepaid plan: The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new data plan for prepaid users in the country. The new BSNL prepaid recharge plan is worth ₹1,498 and it comes with a validity of 365 days. The newly introduced ₹1,498 plan offers 2GB of data per day, which totals to 730GB of data annually. Once the daily data limit expires, BSNL prepaid offer will reduce the speed to just 40Kbps.

One of the biggest drawbacks of BSNL prepaid plan is that it does not offer support for any voice-calling minutes to the users. KeralaTelecom.Info, which first spotted the plan says that apart from that, this BSNL prepaid offer does not provide any SMS benefits to the users either. This means that BSNL prepaid subscribers who opt for this plan will have to purchase plans that offer voice-calling benefits and SMS benefits separately. That said, BSNL’s newly introduced ₹1,498 prepaid recharge plan is available as a Data Voucher STV, which means it is aimed to provide users just the data benefits and not any calling benefits.

As per a separate report by OnlyTech, another BSNL prepaid plan has been introduced as a special promotional offer worth ₹2,399. This BSNL prepaid plan comes with a validity of 60 days and it will be available until November 18. It offers unlimited voice calls, which includes both local and STD calls to any network in the home network and national roaming including MTNL network in Mumbai and Delhi, along with 3GB per day unlimited data wherein the speed reduces to 80 kbps once the daily limit is exhausted. In addition, BSNL offers 100 SMS per day, free PRBT with unlimited song change option, and Free EROS Now entertainment service in this plan.

It is worth mentioning that the update comes almost a month after BSNL prepaid plans priced at ₹447, ₹94 and ₹74 were rolled out in India. The ₹447 plan offers 100GB of data without any daily data limit along with 100 SMSs per day with unlimited voice calling benefits. The ₹94 plan offers 3GB of data with 100 minutes of voice calling for a span of 90 days. The ₹75 plan, on the other hand, offers 2GB of data with 100 minutes of voice calling for a span of 60 days.
