Now you can claim tax benefits on your purchases from Amazon: Here’s how

Amazon India on Saturday announced a special store that lets users claim tax benefits from their employers in lieu of Leave Travel Concession (LTC). The e-retailer says that customers can save more and enjoy tax benefits in lieu of LTC on buying goods with a GST of 12% or higher. The list includes home appliances, consumer electronics and TVs from companies such as Sony, Xiaomi, Oneplus, LG and Bajaj among other things.

Claiming these tax benefits is a simple process. Amazon India says that a salaried customer has to purchase goods and services with 12% or more GST. Once they make the purchase, they will get the invoices for their orders in the ‘Yours orders’ section of the app. Employers will then have to submit these invoices to their respective employers to avail the applicable income tax benefits.

Additionally, the company is offering affordable finance options such as No-cost EMI and exchange offers to the users.

Here are the top offers:

-- Home appliances: Amazon India is offering up to 40% off on ACs, up to 35% off on refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers, up to 60% of microwaves and chimneys, mixer grinders and up to 50% off on water purifiers.

-- TVs: The e-retailer is also offering up to 30% off on the purchase of Android TVs and up to 25% off on premium TVs.

-- Smartphones: Amazon is offering up to 40% off on the latest smartphones and up to 70% off on mobile accessories.

-- Amazon India is also offering up to ₹30,000 off on laptops.

-- Additionally, up to 60% off on headphones and speakers and up to 40% off on cameras and accessories.
