This Tamil-language action-comedy blockbuster starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde in lead roles is first on our list of top 5 movies and shows to watch this week. The Nelson directed film hit the theaters on April 13. The story revolves around an ex-RAW agent whose mission is to rescue people held hostage in a shopping mall by terrorists. The movie will be available to watch on Netflix starting tomorrow, May 11.

Aadha Ishq on Voot

This romance series weaves a tale of unrequited love, complications within relationships and an unpredictable plot twist. The series stars Aamna Sharif, Gaurav Arora, Pratibha Ranta, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Suchitra Pillai, Darsheel Safary and Pooja Bhamrrah. This American musical comedy, directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, is a re-imagining of the classic fairy tale Cinderella against the modern backdrop. The movie stars Chosen Jacobs, Lexi Underwood, and John Salley and portrays a hilarious journey of a sneaker designer in becoming the most famous designer in the country. The movie will make its debut directly on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on May 13.

Modern Love Mumbai on Amazon Prime Videos

Modern Love Mumbai is an anthological romance series that tells six different stories that portray different shades of love. The series will see six directors, Nupoor Asthana, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava, Vishal Bharadwaj and Hansal Mehta, narrating their take on love. The movie will reportedly display different forms of love including romantic, platonic, parental, familial, marital and self love. The series casts Arshad Warsi, Naseeruddin Shah, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Chitrangda Singh and Prateik Babbar among others. The series releases on Amazon Prime Videos on May 13.

Outlander (Season 5) on Netflix

The period drama fantasy series Outlander is here with its 5th installment and is ready to excite the audience. The story follows the journey of Claire Beauchamp Randall, a nurse in World War II, who mysteriously goes back in time to Scotland in 1743. Season 5 continues the journey and sees Claire and Jamie Fraser fight to defend Fraser’s Ridge, the home they have created in the US.
