Explained: Reliance Jio’s free annual Disney+Hotstar VIP subscription offer for prepaid users

If you are a Reliance Jio prepaid user, you can get the annual subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP worth ₹399 at no additional cost. Note that the scheme is available through select plans which cover the add-on data packs as well.

Here are key points about the latest Jio offer on Disney+Hotstar.

What is Disney+Hotstar VIP?

Disney+ Hotstar is available in two subscription plans – Premium and VIP. With the VIP subscription, you get shows, movies, and kids content (dubbed). It also includes live sports including cricket, premier league, and Formula 1. VIP customers get the new Indian movie premiers. Other highlights include Hotstar Specials, and the latest episodes of Indian TV shows at 6 AM every day. The plan is available for ₹399 per year.

Which Jio prepaid plans are eligible?

Reliance Jio’s free Disney+ Hotstar VIP is available with ₹401 monthly plan. This plan offers unlimited voice and 9GB of data and is valid for 28 days.

The scheme is also with the ₹2,599 annual plan which offers 740GB data and unlimited voice. The validity of the plan is 365 days.

For those on data add-on packs, Jio users can opt-in for vouchers starting at ₹612 (12 vouchers of ₹51) that provides data benefits as well as a 1-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

According to Reliance Jio, the free annual Disney+Hotstar VIP subscription is available to both new and old prepaid users.

What does the competition offer?

Airtel in April launched a ₹401 plan which offers a free annual subscription to Disney+ Hotstar VIP. The plan, valid for 28 days, gives 3GB of data.
