Reliance Jio hikes ₹222 plan that includes Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription

Reliance Jio is hiking its plan and this time it’s the ₹222 plan that it introduced a few months ago. In case you are a Jio customer using this plan, now you will have to pay ₹33 more, which comes down to ₹255 for the same plan, as reported by Telecom Talk. This plan is not yet listed on the Jio website though. Rest of the plan benefits and features stay the same as before. 

Introduced in June this year, the ₹222 (now ₹255) plan offers VIP subscription of Disney+ Hotstar along with 15GB of unlimited data to the subscribers. This add-on is valid only till the base plan expires. This also means that it will work in tandem with a data plan that you have.

So, Jio users who have subscribed to a data plan that doesn’t offer Disney+ Hotstar subscription can recharge using the  ₹255 plan to get the add-on subscription to the VIP plan along with 15GB additional data. It is worth adding that the Disney+ Hotstar VIP plan alone costs ₹399 per year.

There are some other Disney + Hotstar plans available as well on the website. The Rs 401 and Rs 2,599 plans offer 90GB and 740GB of data respectively and come with a validity of 28 days and 365 days respectively. On the other hand, add on vouchers worth Rs 1,208, Rs 1,206, and Rs 1004 offer 240GB, 240GB, and 210GB data and come with a validity of 240 days, 180 days and 120 days respectively. The Rs 612 add-on voucher offers 72GB data with 6,000 Jio to non-Jio minutes and comes with a validity that is the same as your existing plan.
