Tech Wrap: Instagram has a new Reshare sticker, GBoard app comes to Wear OS

Thank god for Sundays? Definitely so. There are only two things you need to remember for tomorrow, wish all the mothers you know a Happy Mother's Day. If you are someone who's into WhatsApp stickers, there's a whole new sticker pack available to celebrate tomorrow, you can download and share away. We'll tell you what the second thing is, later. We told you day before about how WhatsApp is ditching the May 15 deadline for its new privacy policy. Does that mean it's not coming? No, it is. WhatsApp is not going to delete accounts that do not accept the new privacy policy, instead, it is going to gradually keep limiting features for these accounts till it will finally stop allowing you to receive calls, notifications, etc. Not the best news? Yeah, we agree. 

In other news, The GBoard app has come to Wear OS. The Gboard app on Wear OS is quite a big deal since Google hasn’t rolled out any major update for smartwatches in a while now. Also, the Gboard app will make it easier for Wear OS users to type on their smartwatch, and also connect with other apps.

Also, today we learned about some well-meaning guys who made a Tile tracker and an Apple AirTag compete against each other. To know who won, you can read the story here.

Tile teams up with Amazon

Tile has joined hands with Amazon to integrate Amazon's Sidewalk feature on its trackers. This will help them increase their Tile Network which is the community service the company uses to help users track the keyfinders if they are outside the range of their smartphones. This partnership will also help Tile compete better with Apple's AirTags. Read the full story here. 

Instagram has a new “Reshare” sticker

Instagram is testing a new Reshare sticker that can be used in Stories. This is essentially a sticker that you can use when you share feed posts to Stories. We don't know what this sticker is going to look like yet though. Also, speaking of Instagram, here's a tip on how you can check your DMs without letting the other person know you have seen it. You are welcome. 

Apple gives Zoom some special access

An app developer has found out that Apple has given Zoom access to its iPad camera API that brings in a special multitasking feature. With this, users can access Twitter or a notes app while they are on a Zoom call, like they can while they FaceTime. Why Zoom? And how? Read the details here. 

Samsung's Galaxy A52 5G is coming soon to India

Can't end a day without talking about a new smartphone now, can we? The support page for the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G has gone live on Samsung India’s official website. This means that we are inching closer to the launch. While the listing really does not give us any information, here's what we know so far.
