Taking a cue from Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea has doubled the data benefits on its ₹98 prepaid plan.
Earlier, Vodafone’s ₹98 plan used to offer 6GB of data benefits sans the calling and messaging benefits. The pack was valid for a period of 28 days. Now, the revised plan offers 12GB of data benefits even as the validity remains the same. Apart from Vodafone, Idea too has upgraded its ₹98 prepaid plan to offer 12GB of data. Earlier, the plan offered 6GB of data benefits.
The change can be seen on the websites of Vodafone and Idea.
Notably, the double data offer seems to be available in select circles. For instance, the offer is available in Delhi for both Vodafone and Idea. However, it is not available in other circles such as Maharashtra and Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, and Madhya Pradesh for both the telecom service providers yet. And so, customers will have to check for the availability of the updated pack in their data circles.
Interestingly, the update comes almost a week after Bharti Airtel updated its ₹98 prepaid plan to offer 12GB of data. Earlier, the plan used to offer 6GB of data. Additionally, the company also increased the talktime value in three recharge vouchers. The ₹500, ₹1,000 and the ₹5,000 plans now offer ₹480, ₹960 and ₹4,800 talktime respectively.
