WhatsApp animated stickers now available to all users

WhatsApp recently introduced new features like dark mode on the web, QR codes and more. Among these, animated sticker packs are now available to all WhatsApp users globally.

Animated stickers on WhatsApp were first available to beta users on Android and iOS. WhatsApp already supports stickers on the app, and animated stickers are basically like GIFs of stickers. The new animated stickers are available on WhatsApp’s Android and iOS apps.

WhatsApp animated stickers are available as sticker packs. You can find them in the same place where WhatsApp stores its stickers. To get started, make sure that your WhatsApp is updated to the latest version from Google Play Store and App Store. Once that’s done, follow these steps.

1. Open a chat on WhatsApp and tap on the emoji button.

2. Select the stickers option and click on the ‘+’ icon.

3. Here, you’ll find the list of sticker packs available to download.

4. The animated stickers have a play button on top so it’s easier to identify.

5. To download animated sticker packs just tap on the down arrow icon.

6. Once it’s downloaded you’ll see them appear in the sticker tab.

At present WhatsApp has a couple of animated sticker packs like Chummy Chum Chums, Rico’s Sweet Life, Playful Piyomaru, Bright Days, and Moody Foodies. You can always delete these sticker packs on WhatsApp whenever you want.

On WhatsApp, animated stickers will play once when you send it. If users scroll up and down the chat, then the animated stickers will play. Unlike Telegram, animated stickers don’t play on loop on WhatsApp.
