WhatsApp Novi pilot announced; get money in WhatsApp chat, know how to use it

As per the latest information WhatsApp has announced a small pilot program to some people in the United States (US). These people will be able to use the Novi digital wallet within WhatsApp and will be able to send and receive money right within their WhatsApp chat. The information was provided by WABetaInfo over its twitter handle where it said, "WhatsApp is announcing the Novi pilot program in the US! WhatsApp is finally announcing a small pilot program to some people in the US, so they can send and receive money right within their WhatsApp chat!"

Also, informing about the same, Will Cathcart, Head of WhatsApp retweeted the news posted by Stephane Kasriel, the new Head of Novi, that a small pilot program is finally rolling out to some people in the US for Novi. "New in the US: use your @Novi digital wallet to send and receive money right within a @WhatsApp chat. People use WA to coordinate sending money to loved ones, and now Novi will help them do that securely, instantly and with no fees," Cathcart tweeted.

Kasriel said, "There's a new way to try the Novi digital wallet. Starting today, a limited number of people in the US will be able to send and receive money using Novi on WhatsApp, making sending money to family and friends as easy as sending a message."

What is Novi digital wallet? It can be known that Novi is a new way to send and receive money- instantly, securely, and with no fees. With the help of Novi on WhatsApp, one can transfer money without ever leaving their WhatsApp chat.

However, it can be noted that the pilot program is still not available right now within WhatsApp for people that live in Guatemala, but they can join the trial via the standalone Novi app, according to WABetaInfo.

AIso, WhatsApp users can know that the messaging application is only integrating a new service to exchange money, and your chats and calls are still end-to-end encrypted: this will never change.

The small pilot program is available in the US, for some people that use the latest updates of WhatsApp for Android and iOS.

How to send money using Novi?

1. In WhatsApp, find the contact you would like to send money to and open your chat.

2. Tap the paper clip icon on Android or the + icon on iOS.

3. Select "Payment" in the menu.

4. Follow on-screen instructions to log into your Novi account or create a new one.

5. Start sending and receiving money.
