Mute Always

As of now, WhatsApp gives its users three options which they can use to mute group notifications. These are eight hours, one week and one year. Now the company is planning to tweak this feature a bit. As per a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is planning to replace the one year option with ‘Always’ option ensuring that notifications for a specific group stay mute unless users choose to do otherwise.

Expiring Messages

Several reports in the past have detailed that WhatsApp is working on an expiring messages feature that would delete a message on both the sides without leaving a trace. This week, we got to know that the company is making improvements to the section of the app used for managing the settings. This includes including button to turn this functionality on or off.

New Emojis

WhatsApp is also working on adding 138 new emojis to its platform, which includes the ones pertaining to various professions. These emojis are available on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.20.197.6.
