WhatsApp Web to get photo-editing tools, app to get new emojis

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps on the planet. It is constantly working on adding new features to its platform. In the past couple of weeks, reports have detailed features such as HD photos, expired notification for View Once images and videos, and access to multi-device functionality among other things. Now, word is that the company is working on two new features that will make using the Facebook-owned messaging app that much more interesting.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on introducing new drawing tools on WhatsApp Web and Desktop. When t is made available, WhatsApp Web users will get a bunch of new options to edit images before they share it with their contacts. The screenshot shared by the blog site shows that the WhatsApp Web and Desktop app users will be able to add emojis, stickers, text and doodle to the image before sharing. They will also be able to undo or redo their changes and crop an image before sharing. These options are similar to the options that WhatsApp users get before they share an image via the company’s desktop-based apps.

The blog site says that WhatsApp has started rolling out this feature on WhatsApp Web and desktop-based apps. All users need to do to get access to this feature is ensure that they are running the latest version of WhatsApp’s Android and iOS-based apps on their smartphones.

A report by the blog site, WhatsApp is working on bringing new emojis to its Android and iOS-based apps. This update brings several new emojis to iPhones and Android smartphones that are a part of Emojipedia’s latest update. These new emojis are available in WhatsApp beta for iOS version 2.21.16.10 and WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.21.16.10. The new emojis include burning heart emojis, emoji characters with various gender identities and sigh emoji among others.
