For all the issues plaguing Windows, Microsoft might have added some bug fixes for Windows 10 via the May 2020 update but troubles are far from over. There seems to be yet another issue affecting the software that hasn’t been fixed. And Microsoft has finally acknowledged that the issue exists.
Windows 10 updates have been riddled by bugs and security issues all through and Microsoft has been dealing with them through follow-up security patches. According to a report by Windows Latest, Microsoft has accepted that Windows 10, the 2004 version, is displaying false internet connection warnings for some PCs.
Windows 10 users have been complaining that despite rebooting their laptops and resetting the router and even reinstalling network wireless adaptor - Windows 10 keeps showing the notification that it has “No Internet Access”. And this seems to be the case with many users.
In spite of this ‘warning’, users are able to go online through their browsers but certain features like Cortana, Microsoft’s Feedback hub and the Microsoft Store and apps like Spotify are not working thanks to this.
The problem this time, as per reports, users have spotted the yellow triangle on the system tray that indicates the system has “No Internet Access” and this error has been spotted when the device is connected to the router correctly, yet Windows 10 is unable to connect to the Internet.
Windows Latest writes that Microsoft has now confirmed that there is an issue with the Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI) leading to users seeing the “No Internet Access” notification on systems that are still able to access internet resources via the browser.
Microsoft is investigating the issue and will be fixing it with future updates.
