Your WhatsApp is no longer just an instant-messaging app! It’s more than that. It now packs in itself features that we have seen on several other social media platforms. WhatsApp users had often bemoaned the fact that the app did not offer what Twitter, Telegram or Signal did. However, that is changing slowly now. Considering the kind of changes that have been rolled out recently or are being planned, simply chatting with contacts seems like just a basic core function of WhatsApp. Now, in a new development, an upcoming feature has been revealed that will completely change the way you chat! This under-development feature is none other than 'WhatsApp polls for group chats', WABetaInfo has confirmed. The polls feature is already available on other social media apps such as Twitter and Telegram. The feature is currently in the works and it is expected to make its debut in the beta version of WhatsApp, but users can expect it to be available soon on their devices. This will allow users to create polls within the groups on the related topics to the group.

WhatsApp polls: How will this feature work?

The Meta-owned messaging app, WhatsApp is reported to be building its own poll feature for WhatsApp group chats, which will change the chatting experience in a group. Earlier, we only knew that WhatsApp will allow you to enter a question of the poll in your WhatsApp group along with 'Create' and 'Cancel' options. But a sneak peek into the feature by WABetaInfo suggests that the WhatsApp poll will make it possible to add up to 12 possible options for contacts to choose from. Also, it will allow you to move an option to a different position according to yourself, the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo hinted.

Though the blog clearly mentions that the ability to create polls on WhatsApp is not available since it’s under development, you can expect this soon enough.

Recently, WhatsApp update tracker, WABetaInfo which regularly reveals upcoming features and updates, also suggested that WhatsApp users will soon be able to get message reactions, the kind of feature that is available on Instagram.
